It's been a hectic couple of weeks since Cirque du Cure  but we now can share the amazing news that the night raised more than $50,000 which will be donated to the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation to support a research project aimed at developing a vaccine to treat anaplastic ependymoma! September is childhood cancer awareness month. As many of you might also know, today also marks the day when our lives were turned upside down and inside out by the horror that is cancer... In the blink of an eye childhood cancer shattered everything and undoubtedly altered the trajectory of our lives.  It is impossible to convey the pain, anguish and despair we felt during this time. The generosity of our local community has yet again been demonstrated with a $5,000 donation from Side by Side Scaffolding and Rigging who came first place in a charity bowls event over the weekend. Today Bella and I completed the last order as part of Bella's fundraising efforts to raise money for the Queensland Children's Hospital and delivered 24 cupcakes to the children's ward at the Gladstone Hospital - thanks to the generosity of one of Bella the Brave's supporters.
