On 7 May 2023 nearly 400 participants came along to Bella the Brave’s inaugural running festival, Run for a Cure, at the beautiful Millennium Esplanade at Tannum Sands. With 4 distances to choose from – 2.5km, 5km, 10km and 21.1km – the event catered for all age groups and abilities.

The event raised more than $33,000 thanks to the support of the local community and our event sponsors Multitrade Building Hire, Gladstone Regional Council, Emepic Design & Photography, Southern Cross Austereo, Walz Group, Foxheat and JNS Pest Management Services.

On 1 October 2022 the Gladstone Entertainment and Convention Centre was transformed to host a gala ball, A Night in Wonderland. 460 guests entered the rabbit-hole (quite literally) and experienced a night of fantasy and fiction, wonder and enchantment. Keynote speaker Dr Charlie Teo had the audience captivated and then guests danced the night away to The Short Fall.
